Uncle Orson's Writing Class

Orson Scott Card (noted sci-fi author...Ender's Game is considered one of the classic sci-fi novels) puts on a writer's workshop each year. Aspiring writer that I am, I decided to go to this year's workshop. It's in San Diego on the 28th and 29th. I've got my tickets (Jetblue buddy passes from Mom. Thanks Mom!), and I've got my room (more on that later).

I want to get a decent notebook (Scott might be hooking me up), and maybe pick up a nice new pen or two for the trip.

I'm really excited. If someone asked me "where would you like to be in five years", I'd have to honestly say "at home...writing books."
